My first "voice memo" recording of this song, which I originally entitled "Unbalance", was made May 15, 2020. The verse structure was fairly fully flushed out by the time I made the recording. This initial recording is really not fit for human ears but I was excited about the chord progression, which incorporated some new chord structures and it felt fairly cohesive from the get-go. The vocal line was rough, but there were early signs of how it would take shape (although the lyrics would change significantly). The next day, I made another "voice memo" recording, entitled "False Alarm", and incorporated a newly written chorus. I remember spending hours on both days (and several failed attempts at choruses) trying to find that "right" chord to tie in the chorus with the verse. It's still one of my favorite songs to play when no-one else is around. We hope you enjoy it!

False Alarm lyrics:
Faith,
You know that you’re going for a ride
As you sail off into the radiation skies
But those fools come to life
Turn back now, False alarm, Tell me
Cold, anyway you wanted a surprise
As you sail off into the radiation skies
Won’t solve anything
There’s a way out
Hard to explain, but there’s a way out
Don’t hesitate, find the way out
Hard to explain
Souls,
How you’ve waited long into the night
As you sail off into the radiation skies
But those fools come to life
Turn back now, False alarm, turn back
All that you take, know the way out
Hard to explain, but there’s a way out
Don’t hesitate, find the way out
Hard to explain
How does it shape, know the way out
Hard to explain, but there’s a way out
Don’t hesitate, find the way out
Hard to explain

This debut album is jam-packed with ear-caressing reverb-soaked soundscapes, toned-down and mood-setting vocals, and really sharp songwriting all throughout its four tracks." - Northwest Music Scene Glorybots
